Jewelry Tools are an important link to making professional style jewelry.
Here's a run down of the basics-

Round Nose Pliers: Used to hold small jewelry components, wire wrapping and making loops on
head and eye pins.

Chain Nose Pliers: These pliers are most commonly used to open and close jump rings, bend the
top of head and eye pins at the start of creating a loop and bend wire for wire wrapping.

Wire Cutters: Can be used to cut just about any stringing material, head & eye pins and wire
wrapping wire.

Bent Chain Nose Pliers: These pliers are just like chain nose pliers, except they have a bend in the
tip, allowing you to more easily see what you're working on.  They're great for holding clasps out of
the way when you're trying to crimp.

Crimping Tool: The most important jewelry tool - A necessity for all tool boxes!  Not only do they
crimp clasps onto necklaces, bracelets and anklets, but they're also handy for closing loops.  (Ever
have a loop flatten out when using
chain nose pliers when trying to close the loop?  Try using the
top hole in the
crimpers - the loop will stay more rounded when trying to close the loop

Bead Boards: Keep all your beads from rolling around the kitchen table by using a bead board.
Designing is the hardest part of jewelry making and this will allow you to lay out your beads and
move them around without the hassle of stringing and restringing because you don't like the design
once strung.   The ruler on the
bead board helps you measure how long your jewelry will be.

Adhesives: Not all adhesives are the same.  Some are specifically used to glue metal to metal while
others are gentle to the skin, but strong enough to attach
Swarovski rhinestones to clothing.

Stringing Materials: From mono-filament to flexible wire, they all have their purposes.  The thickness
and strength of the stringing material will be based on the size and weight of the beads you are
stringing.

Storage Containers & Cases:  Now that you have all your supplies, you need a safe place to keep
them!  You may need several types of cases, depending on whether you just plan on beading at
home or if you'll be traveling with your supplies.
